64th Navamsa - Contd..

I got typed the following from Jatak Parijat.
K.N.Rao.
====================================
Slokas 52-53. The following seven are termed (Chhidra)
Grahas or planets of vulnerability
(1) the lord of the 8th bhava;
(2) the planet occupying the same;
(3) the planet aspecting the 8th;
(4) the lord of (Khara) i.e., 22nd Drekkana from that of
the Lagna, (vide sloka 56, infra);
(5) the planet in conjunction with the lord of the 8th;
(6) the lord of the 64th Navamsa from that occupied by the
Moon, and
(7) the (Athisathru) of the lord of the 8th house.
Whichever of them is strongest, in the dasa of that planet
should an astrologer predict death.
By V. Subramanya Sastri B.A., Page-267
===================================
Predict arista, which may or may not be death in many cases, is what I will suggest.

What is being called SELECTIVE BLOCKING is what I explained and have explained many times, as the will of God. My favourite example, quoting my Jyotish Guru, Yogi Bhaskaranandaji, is from the Gita. Read shlokas 26 and 27 of chapter 11.

These is no mention of Abhimanyu ? Why?
But in this case, there was no selective blocking but right emphasis on the 64 navamsa from Moon which has such tremendous value in predictive astrology.

Yours sincerely,
K.N.Rao.

Namaste Rao garu,

I do not dispute the importance of 64th navamsa from Moon. But you seem to be saying that the 64th navamsa from Moon alone is important, though some classics do mention the 64th navamsa from lagna and Sun too.

I have to respectfully disagree with your view.

The list given by Jataka Parijatam is a good starting point, but not a conclusive or comprehensive list of marakas (killers). One cannot be dogmatic about that list, especially when other classics give other hints.

Let me give you one example. Birthdata is:

The native of this chart passed away in 1949 in Venus dasa (being an astrologer, he actually foresaw it and remained a bachelor despite pressure to get married after he joined a good government job). Now, let us go through your list of 7 planets/groups of planets:

(1) Venus is not the 8th lord.
(2) Venus is not in 8th.
(3) Venus does not aspect 8th.
(4) Venus is not the 22nd drekkana lord with either Parasara drekkana or Jagannatha drekkana.
(5) Venus is not in conjunction with either 8th lord (Mars or Ketu).
(6) Venus is not the lord of 64th navamsa from Moon (irrespective of which ayanamsa is used - Lahiri or Raman or Deva-datta or KP).
(7) Venus is not an adhisatru (worst enemy) of either 8th lord (Mars or Ketu), using the definition given by Parasara for "adhisatru". Venus is a taatkaalika mitra (temporary friend) to both planets and his compound relationship with the two 8th lords is "mitra" (friend) and "adhimitra" (great friend).

But, it is a fact that Vimsottari dasa of Venus gave death. Why did such a big list given by Jataka Parijatam not work?

The answer is simple. It is not a comprehensive list. There are other candidates for killerdom not mentioned in that list, but mentioned in other classics. We cannot ignore other classics.

Now, let us take cue from Prasna Marga and consider lagna, Moon and Sun. Sun is the strongest of the three references in this chart. So take the 64th navamsa lord from Sun.

Surprise surprise - it is Venus!

May Jupiter's light shine on us,
Narasimha
